Our experts have been supporting IT for small and medium size businesses (SMBs) for more than 20 years. They were MSP pioneers for the space, whereas delivering a full suite of remote support and service was often not practical for the average SMB until the early 2000s. The advent of new support tools and affordable bandwidth opened doors once only available to much larger businesses.
We helped shape the MSP vertical. We have seen what works and what doesn't work. We have contributed toward many important technology milestones - displacing legacy Novell networks with Microsoft networks, reducing physical server deployments with high-availability virtualization solutions, and shifting resources to both the private and public cloud - these are just some of the milestones we have been happy to help our customers achieve and implement with confidence for many years.
We believe technology and related support are shifting for the SMB. Gone are the days of countless products and services necessary to build the core "technology stack" for most small and medium size businesses. Micro-SMBs, those with fewer than 10 employees, may be able to avoid contracting with an MSP altogether. With modern technology today, why purchase several point products with little or no integration when you can achieve similar or better outcomes with a "best-in-suite" approach instead? This approach is typically coupled with significant cost savings too.
We also understand the challenges MSPs have supporting SMBs - talent acquisition and retention, cost of service delivery, and differentiating related products and services well enough to demonstrate value considered superior to the competition. The MSP space is highly saturated with providers of different operational maturity competing for the same business.
